Using The Principle of marginal gains
USING ANIMALS TO HELP IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH
We are lucky to have Nikki working with us who provides a wealth of experience in the mental health sector. She specialises in Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and is pioneering in this subject particularly, with a strong successful caseload of clients who are able to testify to the therapy she provides. In particular. she often refers to the below in her methods to help people get back on their feet:
What is the principle of marginal gains?
At British Cycling, Brailsford was noted for his innovative concept of 'marginal gains': The whole principle came from the idea that if you broke down everything you could think of that goes into riding a bike, and then improved it by 1%, you will get a significant increase when you put them all together.
Effectively, making small changes and small steps in the right direction will all build up to make a big difference later on - you just have to take that first step and ask for help!
Prices start at £70 per hour for counselling services, with a free initial consultation.
